This 2-hour session welcomes back self-advocates who presented in May 2015 on the topic of person-directed outcomes. In this new training, participants will hear from people who know their rights, have confronted naysayers and now live by their own decisions. Presenters will review QAM legislation around rights education and explore the oppressive history of people with developmental disabilities. The Models of “disability” will be reviewed. Finally, strategies for advancing the rights of people receiving supports will be shared.
